A brand-new Pokémon Center Kagawa is due to open on October 24th, 2025. The Kagawa store features Pokémon mascots Slowpoke and Pikachu, and will sell exclusive branded merchandise featuring the two Pokémon available upon opening.

Pokémon will be collaborating with The Natural History Museum in London with a pop-up shop next year, between January 26th and March 22nd, 2026. The temporary store will sell a variety of products, including an exclusive plush! Free tickets will be required to access the pop-up shop; they will be available online from October 1st, 2025.

The Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution and Pokémon TCG Pocket Experience is coming to Westfield London in Shepherd's Bush, London, from October 3rd to October 5th, 2025. Attendees can get their pictures taken with the Mega Lucario and Mega Gardevoir statues, check out dynamic displays showing off the latest Mega Evolution Pokémon ex cards, and participate in a stamp rally where they can obtain a Pokémon TCG Fun Pack and a double-sided poster. This event also celebrates the first anniversary of Pokémon TCG Pocket with digital murals and demo stations to experience opening booster packs in Pokémon TCG Pocket.

A new Booster Pack is coming to Pokémon TCG Pocket, called Deluxe Pack: ex Booster Pack, for a limited time. For one month between September 30th and October 30th, 2025, players will be able to obtain cards from many previous booster packs, ranging from Genetic Apex to Wisdom of Sea and Sky. Each pack will contain four cards, of which one card will be guaranteed of ♦♦♦♦ rarity or higher. Select cards will feature parallel foil designs or entirely new illustrations.

A trailer which released alongside the announcement, confirmed that Deluxe Pack: ex booster packs will be available again in the future.

The Shiny Chi-Yu distribution has begun. Chi-Yu is the fourth and final member of the Treasures of Ruin to be released via Mystery Gift, with Tera Shard Sets also available. If you missed out on the last three, they are still currently available. Be quick though, as this distribution only lasts until September 30th, 2025.

The Pokémon GO Tour is returning from February 20th to February 22nd, 2026. The two locations for next year's tour will be in Tainan, Taiwan, and Los Angeles, California. POKÉMON POKOPIA

  • A new life simulator spinoff game, Pokopia, was revealed in the September 12th, 2025, Nintendo Direct. In Pokopia, the playable character is a Ditto who transforms into a young human boy or girl that can befriend nearby Pokémon and copy their abilities to craft, grow, and create a community. Pokopia will be released for the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.

POKÉMON LEGENDS: Z-A

  • Mega Chesnaught, Mega Delphox, and Mega Greninja were revealed during the latest Nintendo Direct on September 12th, 2025. The Mega Stones necessary to use these Mega Evolutions will be obtainable as rewards for battling other Trainers in Online Ranked Battles through the Z-A Battle Club. Ranked Battles Season 1 launches alongside Legends: Z-A on October 12th, 2025, with Greninjite available as a reward. Delphoxite will become available during Season 2, and Chesnaughtite during Season 3. The duration for each Season has not yet been revealed.

  • The Nintendo Direct also announced that Z-A will receive a paid DLC called Z-A Mega Dimensions. The exact release date has not been revealed, but the DLC will be available for purchase starting on October 16th, 2025. Additional storyline content, as well as distortions linked to the Mythical Pokémon, Hoopa, have been teased. Two new Mega Evolutions, Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y, were also revealed with the Mega Dimensions announcement.

  • The official Pokémon Legends: Z-A site announced that connectivity between Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Pokémon Home will become available in 2026. The announcement emphasized that after a Pokémon is transferred from Home into Legends: Z-A, the player is unable to transfer it back to previous games in the series.

  • Draft Mode has been updated as of September 4th, 2025. Teams can now ban up to 3 Pokémon, and all participants have one vote each to determine bans. A Pokémon receiving 2 or more votes is confirmed as banned. If additional bans are needed, remaining slots are filled randomly from Pokémon with a single vote. These changes aim to diversify team selection, reduce selection time, and improve the Ranked Matches and Custom Battles experience.

  • The game has been updated to version 1.20.1.3 as of September 4th, 2025. In Theia Sky Ruins (Groudon), experience from defeating Regidrago has been reduced to keep matches more balanced. Pawmot received stat and move adjustments: increased HP, Defense, and Special Defense; faster HP recovery from basic attacks; Volt Switch and Thunder Punch deal more damage; and the Unite Move now resets cooldowns and has improved range and gauge gains. A bug causing Thunder Punch to damage allies has also been fixed.

  • The collaboration between Pokémon and Hatsune Miku marks its second anniversary with a special video showcasing songs, music videos, and illustrations from the project. A live concert is also scheduled for March 2026.

The Pokémon Mega Evolution Paris event takes place on September 13th & 14th, 2025, as a free physical and digital immersive experience. Taking place at the Forum Des Halles at Westfield Châtelet, fans will be able to learn about the power of Mega Evolution, test their skills in the Pokémon GO Battle Zone, go hands-on with a playable demo of Pokémon Legends: Z-A Switch 2 Edition, and collect Pokémon themed goodies. Shiny Wo-Chien has been defeated over six million times in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. Both expire August 30th, 2025.

Pokémon UNITE: viewers can claim a 2025 Worlds in-game sticker and the Platinum Murkrow Boost Emblem, Aeos Coins, and various selection boxes. All UNITE rewards must be redeemed by October 9th, 2025.

It will also be possible to play a demo of Pokémon Legends: Z-A at the event. To participate, you must reserve a Warp Pipe Pass, available on a first-come, first-served basis. The demo will be available from August 15th to 17th, 2025. Registration closes on Thursday, August 14th, 2025.

Nintendo have released updated sales data for hardware and software up to June 30th, 2025. For Pokémon, Scarlet & Violet has reached a milestone of 27.15 million units sold worldwide, officially surpassing the sales of Pokémon Sword & Shield, which has sold 26.84 million units.

Play! Pokémon Access is a new app to be informed about local events and opportunities, which was released on August 4th, 2025. With Play! Pokémon Access, players will be able to check into official in-store tournaments; view upcoming premier events in their region; track their Championship Point totals for the season; review their past in-store tournament participation; use the Event Locator to follow favourite stores and their events; search for specific cards and view translations; and earn virtual badges by completing missions, such as attending in-store events.

Additionally, starting August 14th, 2025, Play! Pokémon League locations will begin distributing Prize Pack Series Seven to Trainers who take part in local events. Cards range from popular Pokémon to exclusive foil versions of competitive staples, including Latias ex, Budew, Flareon ex, Lillie’s Clefairy ex, and N’s Zoroark ex.

With the release of the upcoming Mega Evolution expansion in Pokémon TCG Live, The Pokémon Company International has announced a change to booster packs. While they will continue to include both an Energy card and a code card, there will also be digital rewards when redeeming code cards from other specific product types. These new digital bonuses may include digital booster packs, promo cards, bonus currency, in-game cosmetics, or other promotional content.

From August 11th to August 17th, 2025, Pokémon GO will host Delightful Days: Taken Over, a special in-game event featuring the return of Giovanni. A significant highlight of the event is the debut of Shadow Kyogre, available in raids on August 16th and 17th. There will also be a mission to save Shadow Giratina.

Pokémon GO has announced the return of Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia for a special Ultra Unlock: Origin Raid Day, taking place on August 10th, 2025. During the event, both Legendary Pokémon will appear more frequently in raids.

Two Legendary Pokémon from the Johto region, Lugia and Ho‑Oh, headline Wisdom of Sea and Sky, the latest expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket, released on July 30th, 2025. This new expansion brings over 200 cards to collect, including powerful new Pokémon ex, stunning illustrations, and beloved Johto region characters such as Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile.

An official statement from Pokémon TCG Pocket confirms a production issue in relation to the Ho-Oh featured in the immersive card artwork for Ho-Oh ex ★★★ and Lugia ex ★★★ cards. The artwork has been removed temporarily, while new artwork will be introduced as soon as it's ready. They have also confirmed that they are conducting an investigation to ensure no similar issues exist elsewhere in the game.

A new feature called Expert Mode is scheduled to be introduced to Pokémon Sleep in the next update, planned for early August. This new mode offers a more challenging experience, allowing all types of helper Pokémon to contribute in different ways. Raising Snorlax will become more difficult, but the rewards available in Expert Mode will be more generous than ever. Expert Mode will become available starting the Monday following the next maintenance and version update. To unlock it, players will need to reach Master 18 with Snorlax on Greengrass Isle. Those who have already met this requirement will gain access to the mode automatically once it is added to the game.
